About Me

I have over 20 years experience working with families in the community & voluntary sector,  supporting programmes targeting education, physical and mental health. Working in an Area- Based Childhood Programme which focused on improving wellbeing and learning outcomes for children gave me the opportunity to work in infant and early years mental health. I was privileged to deliver antenatal education and then work postnatally with mothers and their families. It was at this time that I started my own family and trained as a volunteer breastfeeding counsellor with Cuidiu. This prompted a shift in gear after the birth of my third child where I decided to take the leap and study for the IBCLC  (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) qualification.
