Breastfeeding Preparation Class
Online Breastfeeding Preparation Class
Take a personalised breastfeeding class and get yourself off to a great start! A class can be taken at any stage of your pregnancy and partners are very welcome to attend too. This class is ideal for first time mothers or indeed if you are preparing for the second or third time around. I will tailor the class to your specific needs for example breastfeeding with implants, after a breast reduction, twins, a planned cesarean section or taking medication. We can take the time to talk about why you want to breastfeed, anything you are worried about, discuss what you know about breastfeeding and if you have previous experience. Are you wondering about pumping, combination feeding, getting your partner involved, breastfeeding in public? One thing I hear routinely from women is how when they were pregnant they had planned to breastfeed but they weren't prepared for the reality. It can be very overwhelming in the early days but knowing what to expect and being prepared can make all the difference. Also knowing where to go for help and support if you need it can help you to keep you going and meet your breastfeeding goal.
After the class I will email you a Care Plan which pulls together all the topics covered in your class that you can easily access on your phone. I will also be available to you for a follow up phone call either before your due date or when you deliver your baby.
Topics Covered
The class last for a hour and a half and in addition to your specified questions topics covered include:

“I got in contact with Catherine as I am pregnant with my second baby. While I did breastfeed my first, it was not the experience I had hoped for and sadly had to end prematurely. I really wanted to equip myself with all the tools necessary this time and this is why I reached out to Catherine. From our very first contact, I could tell that she was exactly what I was looking for. She was able to help me work through my previous breastfeeding journey and help me identify what supports I would need going forward with my second child. Her in depth knowledge and supportive nature has made all the difference to me and I feel much more prepared and confident this time going into my breastfeeding journey.”
